cLIeNUX Core's LILO (LInux LOader) bootloader message

At the prompt below you can pass "commandline arguments" to the kernel
much like regular commands take text arguments or switches. If you just
hit the enter key the default kernel or partition will be booted with the
default configuration arguments. Hitting tab will give you a listing of
configured bootable kernel images and/or partitions, possibly including
other OS's bootsectors. If you wish or need to pass arguments to a Linux
kernel give the image label first. For example, for a kernel labeled
"special" in the lilo configuration,

             boot: special root=/dev/sda6

will boot special and attempt to mount a filesystem residing on the first
SCSI HD, 6th partition, as the main filesystem, the root filesystem, "/" .
There are options for many sticky situations, such as Thinkpad floppy
controllers, various bugs like the MCA Pentium bug and so on. You can boot
any lilo'd kernel to any valid Linux root filesystem, you can turn off
I.O. address ranges, set the initial console display mode, and so on.
There are only a few cases where bootloader-passed arguments are necessary
to boot at all. Usually just hitting the enter key works.
