Forreal Mode

PE=0, Dbit=1. Presumably 4gig segments. Big flat 32-bit, no protection
events.

PE=0 means a 4-ply 20-bit 8086-style schmegmented IDT. That means reflex
hooks in legmeg, or maybe in the low meg of the current segment, which is
nuts. Otherwise it's a 32-bit machine, kinda. You need schmegmented
dismisses in the reflexes. Events do a schmegmented INT-push when PE=0.

Interrupt latency might be noticeably reduced in Forreal Mode, which mere
possibility makes it worth a bit of coding just for a look-see.

The kernel proactively switches processes. At that point the kernel can
leave Forreal Mode. For unix it's not worth it. For a
console-user-oriented OS it may well be.
