If you have a SCSI host adapter, please add it to the command
line.  The exact names of the SCSI drivers can be found in
/lib/modules/2.0.xx/scsi/*.

e.g.:   linux scsi_host=aic7xxx

If that does not work for you (email to me), use the "installkernel".
That is the same kernel as on the install disk. So it must work for you.
