phpMyAdmin - Readme

  Version 1.2.0 - 11/29/1998
  http://www.htmlwizard.net/phpMyAdmin/
  Tobias Ratschiller <tobias@dnet.it>

A set of PHP3-scripts to adminstrate MySQL over the WWW.

  Requirements:
    PHP3
MySQL (tested with 3.21.x and 3.22.x, works also in 3.20.x, but in this
case the "SHOW STATUS" command should be commented out in
           index.php3)
    a web-browser (doh!)

  Summary:
phpMyAdmin is intended to handle the basic adminstration of
    MySQL. Currently it can:
    - create and drop databases
    - create, drop and alter tables
    - delete, edit and add fields
    - execute any SQL-statement
    - manage keys on fields
    - load text files into tables
    - create dumps of tables

  Download:
You can get the newest version at http://www.htmlwizard.net/phpMyAdmin/.

  Limitations:
    - I'm not happy with the navigation (or lack thereof). You just have to
      use your browser's back-button.

  Credits:
This work is based on Peter Kuppelwieser's MySQL-Webadmin. It was his idea
to create a webbased interface to MySQL using PHP3. Although I have not used
any of his source-code, there are some concepts I've borrowed from him.
phpMyAdmin was created because Peter told me he wasn't going to further
    develop his (great) tool.
    Thanks go to
    - Amalesh Kempf <ak-lsml@living-source.com> who contributed the code for
the check when dropping a table or database. He also suggested that you
should be able to specify the primary key on tbl_create.php3. To version
1.1.1 he contributed the ldi_*.php3-set (Import text-files) as well as
      a bug-report.
    - Alexandr Bravo <abravo@hq.admiral.ru> who contributed tbl_select.php3,
a feature to display only some fields from a table.
I also want to thank Klaus M. Rodewig and Pavel Piankov for providing a
    mirror-site.
