+ Code improvement in many places to reduce size. Structure assignment
instead of many field assignment statements.

+ Implement autoprobe for 3c503 and WD NICs

+ Some cards (e.g. 3c509) need a hard reset after being used by OS;
maybe should do a reset when etherboot starts.

+ Modularise interface to NIC drivers. A call table would be nice.
Would pave the way for a many in one boot rom. Currently the entry points
would be multiply defined if we tried to combine them all.

+ Provide a skeleton driver so other people can write drivers?

+ Clean up xstart code in start2.S.

+ When INT19H is not selected in netboot-32, the return from main goes
to never-never land. Probably a stack problem. To investigate.

+ Is back to back PIO a good idea? Maybe should use versions with delay?

+ Netboot-16 binaries about 10k. Work to reduce size to 8k so that we
can use on old cards.

+ Maybe compress the binary image to fit in smaller PROMS, and/or fit
more code in? Anybody know a good small uncompressor? Emphasis on small,
then compression ratio, and speed last, because it has to fit into EPROM
and not negate the gains of compression.

+ An interesting idea from a commercial boot ROM product: Create a
ramdisk called A: and fill it with whatever OS boot you want, then
jump to the boot sector code. This could be done with the tagged file
format; just load a ramdisk making routine in front of the ramdisk image.
Anybody game?
