IRManager 0.1.x
Readme-if-you-like-but-I-don't-contain-any-really-important-stuff

===========================

Short Description
---------------------

IRManager is a Linux daemon that makes advanced use of an IRMan, a.k.a.
Universal Infrared Receiver. It can forward IR signals to (multiple) native
IRMan applications, execute your own scripts and applications, and feed
keystrokes to console-based applications.

A Little Longer Description
---------------------

IRManager is a daemon which allows you to make advanced use from your IRMan
Infrared receiver. Of course it can forward the IR signals to applications
with native IRMan support, like XMMS. But with its advanced mapping system,
it allows you to control multiple applications simultaneously. It also
allows you to execute shell scripts and other useful tools only using a
single button on your remote (or a sequence of 20 different keys, if you
like). Another option is to output characters to a named pipe or pty, so you
can feed them to some command-line application or shell. To put it all in
(barely) 3 words: It's fun!

might as well use it. :)

Usage

the configuration example and the manual page.

Help
