FarEditor is a program for creating and manipulating FAR (FileARchive) files that can store other files.
FAR is a format of an archive used by Cytadela - a conversion of an old Amiga first person shooter (see http://cytadela.sourceforge.net).

FarEditor is a free software ('free' as in 'freedom'). That means you are free to use it, distribute it or modify it.
But, what is an obvious thing when it comes to freedom, you cannot take away those freedoms from other people - that means if you distribute a copy of FarEditor, either verbatim or modified, you must do it under the same conditions.
All this is regulated by the GNU General Public License (GNU GPL) - FarEditor in version 1.1 is distributed under the terms of this license. Either version 3 of this license, or (at your option) any later version.
The full text of the GNU GPL can be found in the COPYING file.
