QMidiCC
=======

This is a replacement for the Tcl/Tk-based midicc script included in the
Q-Midi distribution. It provides about the same functionality, but with a much
nicer, Qt-based user interface. This version of QMidiCC is based on an earlier
version (0.3) which was partly written in C++. The new version is now just
plain Q, using the new Qt/Q module.

Requires Q 7.8 or later, and the Q-Midi and Qt/Q modules, all available from
the Q website at http://q-lang.sf.net. Also check that site for Linux RPMS. To
install from the source, just run 'sudo make install'. You can also add
'prefix=<path>' to change the installation prefix (default is /usr/local). You
can install the program anywhere you like, but it is convenient if $prefix/bin
is on your PATH.

Use 'qmidicc' (or '$prefix/bin/qmidicc') to run the program. Under
$prefix/share/q/apps/qmidicc you'll also find a desktop file which should
provide you with a nice desktop icon for KDE and Gnome.

Usage should be fairly straightforward. QMidiCC works in the same fashion as
midicc and even uses the same config files. See doc/qmidicc.html for more
information.

Enjoy! :)
