According to my YAST (SuSE 7.0), "XmStrDefs.h" is part of motifdev
(series S) and according to locate it is in
"/usr/X11R6/include/Xm/XmStrDefs.h".

Maybe you can download the rpm-package from a SuSE-mirror near you and
try to reinstall.

They are part of Motif -you can always do a search in YAST for the given
filename or -in case that the files are allready installed, do a "locate
<filename>" at the command-prompt.

I assume that you have not installed the motifdev-package, which
includes the header-files.

Nope... Pulled it down last night (I've been away on vacation) and it
unzipped just fine. Make sure the file looks something like this:

-rw-rw-r-- 1 gerry gerry 265339 Jul 18 18:20
xastir-0.3.4a.tgz

HOWEVER, when I try to do a make, I get the following:

Anyone got a suggestion?

FOUND my problem... Apparently when upgrading to RH 6.2, the "whizzard"
decided I didn't really need XFree86-devel and deleted the existing
version without replacing it with new? I manually reinstalled it via
RPM and everyone's happy...
