	Slips - A TCL-based SLIP client

Being tired of the n+1st dip release that still didn't address
one of dip's major deficiencies (being its inflexible scripting
language) I decided to glue something together myself. I hope
I've come up with something both flexible and still simple.

Slips is basically a TCL interpreter with extensions that allow you
to manipulate ttys, set the line discipline to SLIP/CSLIP, catch
signals, and fork. A couple of sample scripts are included:

clientA: A sample script that offers roughly the same functionality
as dip. It's a bit better, as it recognizes modem
responses such as BUSY, etc. Check it out and let me
know of any improvements you can think of.

clientB: An expanded version of clientA that takes down the
SLIP link after a certain period of inactivity.

clientC: An experimental script for load balancing over two
SLIP connections, using Don Becker's kernel load
balancing stuff. To run this, you need a patch for
ifconfig included in this archive (it's against the
tools-1.1.56 package, but it should go into any other
1.1.* version with a little tweaking).

One warning is in order here:

You CANNOT make this tool suid root.

This is because slips lets anyone execute arbitrary tcl scripts.
Maybe I will think up a scheme that allows you to safely run it
suid, e.g. by limiting the script file names to a certain
	directory.

These extensions are implemented in a straightforward manner,
so that you can easily add new ones by simply following the
	same pattern.
