	RPC lockd Version 0.3

This release is mainly for the benefit of the curious:-)

This is a snapshot of my current work on the NLM
file locking protocol. It doesn't do anything useful
yet; I'm still at the debugging stage. You can currently
start two servers on the same host:

		rpc.lockd -C
		rpc.lockd -S

and play around by sending KLM messages to the client
	server; e.g.

		klmtest -h monad.swb.de -p 9999 -o 100 -l 100 -x

which will create an exclusive lock on monad.swb.de
on file foobar (default name), from 100 to 199, and
set the requester's PID to 9999. For additional
	flags, please check klmtest.c.

Currently, simple tests with test/lock/unlock work,
as does the lock/block/grant cycle. To see how blocking
	works, run the following commands:

		klmtest -h monad.swb.de -p 9999 -x
		klmtest -h monad.swb.de -p 9998 -x

This command will hang. Switch to a second console
	and enter

		klmtest -h monad.swb.de -p 9999 -u

This will unlock the lock held by process 9999 and
send a grant notification to the second klmtest
process, telling it that it's lock request has been
	granted.

The biggest missing chunk (except for probably a load
of bugs and memory leaks) is a kernel KLM client. Expect
this to be added soon. When this is done, support for
NSM (the status monitor protocol) needs to be added.

	Have fun,
	Olaf
